Fundamental analysis is a combination of economic, industry, and company analysis to obtain a stock's current fair value and predict future value.

this kind of fundamental analysis is also known as "top-down approach" because the analysis starts from an analysis of the economy, moves to industry, and narrow down to the company. this is also called EIC (economy, industry, company) analysis.
